We love cooking up a feast in the outdoors but, what do we do with the gas canisters?
Don’t just toss it—here’s how to dispose of it safely!
♻️ If your canister is EMPTY:
✔️ Burn off any remaining gas until the flame goes out.
✔️ Take it to your Waste Recovery Centre (Nelson Environment Centre)—they’ll handle the rest! (No need to puncture or prep it) 🙌
🔥If your canister has gas in:
✔️ Use a @flipfuel adapter to transfer leftover fuel into another canister and reduce waste!
✔️ If you can’t transfer the fuel, burn it up before disposal.
🚫 Never put gas canisters in your household recycling bin!
