Welcome to MD Outdoors, Wakefield!
This one feels pretty special.
Jesse and I made the move out to Wakefield a year ago, and we absolutely love it here. With the Great Taste Trail running through town, mountains on the doorstep and an awesome little community around us, it felt like the perfect place to bring a little slice of MD Outdoors.
Because, as much as we love them (and we do), Wakey is about more than just really good pies.
Our new store at 14 Whitby Way will be a smaller version of our Nelson one — packed with the gear we genuinely rate, run by people who love getting outside, and with the same friendly advice and service you know from our Nelson store.
With some exciting new brands exclusively at Wakefield like Omm and Montane, we are also curating our product selection so do let us know what you would like to see here, as we are small and flexible so we can get in products that work for you.

JESSE
You will find Jesse, Emily's partner here with Beau by his side. Think of a hike in this region, Jesse has tramped it. With a background in sport, an Ultra runner and extreme hiker, Jesse knows his gear and what's going to work for you.
ROSIE
You may recognise Rosie from the our Nelson shop, and as Emily's sister. Rosie is a Wakefield local who loves the hills, the water and anything outside. She loves a good yarn about your adventures & you are in good hands to gear you up for your adventures.
